Areas of practice

Wills and estate planning including:

• strategic advice on all estate planning aspects of individual and family wealth protection and transfer;
• the preparation and execution of the legal documents required to give effect to clients’ estate planning strategies;
• consideration of existing entities such as companies, family trusts, partnership agreements, businesses and overall entity structure;
• simple wills;
• complex wills including but not limited to testamentary discretionary trust will for tax advantage and asset protection and protective trusts for vulnerable beneficiaries;
• rural estate planning;
• estate planning for blended families;
• guardianship;
• charitable giving;
• enduring powers of attorney (short form and long form);
• advance health directives; and
• registration and safe custody of wills and other associated estate planning documents.

In addition to estate planning, Kylie also practices in the area of deceased administration and deceased estate disputes.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University.

Bachelor of Law with Honours from the University of New England.

Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology.

Admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2005.

Kylie enjoys spending time with her family and travelling. She also enjoys theatre productions and art.
