Krista McMahon

BA LLB

Krista practices predominantly in commercial property law with particular focus on:

• commercial property transactions including residential and commercial off the plan developments, acquisition and disposal of commercial buildings, development sites and  industrial property;
• negotiating complicated development agreements, put and call option agreements;
• advising on community title development including body corporate structuring, building management statements and community management statements;
• advising on and ensuring compliance with, relevant property legislation including the Property Agents and Motor Dealer Act, Land Sales Act, Body Corporate and Community Management Act and Retail Shop Leases Act; 
• advising both tenants and landlords on commercial, retail and industrial leasing matters including negotiation and drafting of lease terms; and
• advising clients on compulsory acquisition matters and negotiating with resuming authority for compensation under the Acquisition of Land Act.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws (Second Class Honours), University of Queensland
Bachelor of Arts (Political Science), University of Queensland
Admitted as a solicitor in Queensland in 2007.
