Andrew Thomas

BEcon LLB

Up until late 2004 Andrew was a partner in the legal practice of Fox & Thomas in Goondiwindi for 20 years.  His work involved commercial litigation, water litigation and deceased estate litigation, all with a rural slant.

Andrew has developed a thorough understanding of the issues that effect rural clients, many of whom are involved in medium sized business enterprises through their farming and rural business activities.

Andrew and his family moved to Brisbane in early 2005 for family reasons. He took a position with de Groots Wills and Estate Lawyers where he practiced exclusively in the deceased estate litigation area.

Andrew left de Groots Wills and Estate Lawyers in May 2010 and joined BRH.

• Acting for parties who wish to defend or challenge a Will in circumstances of supposed incapacity or undue influence or duress.
• Acting for parties who wish to challenge a Will to seek a benefit or a greater benefit under a Will or on intestacy.
• Acting for parties who wish to defend an application against a Will for a benefit or a greater benefit under a Will or on intestacy.
• Trust and equity cases where they are part of or related to deceased estates.
• Will interpretation applications.
• Executor conduct and removal applications.
• Power of attorney applications.

Other Interests

Andrew’s interests include his family, Andrew is a keen swimmer and surfer. Andrew maintains his interest in rural issues.
